About
Katie Sawicki is a Portland, OR based illustrator, collaborator, and strategic planner. See Collaborative and Creative Strategic Planning page for more information on strategic planning, organizational development, and movement building and the organizers working to advance a more just world.
Art has emerged as a central practice in her work. Moving under the name, Siła (strength, life force). Her work explores the intersection of sacred geometry, trees, mycelium networks, queerness, and our relationship to the earth’s ecosystem.
Sawicki works with other creatives (poets, musicians, justice workers) and movement building organizations to bring projects to life through illustration. This means everything from poetry books to strategic planning processes to campaign art. Whatever the project, she is committed to the exploration of self-determination, co-creation, and communication through multiple mediums. This often crosses over into her musical project, The Cabin Project, her 15 year old orchestral rock collaboration.
